# Pathway to Residency Program (PRP)

## What is the Pathway to Residency Program?

The Pathway to Residency Program (PRP) is an early assurance program which allows fourth-year students the opportunity to be interviewed and receive feedback about their likelihood to match into a participating ISMMS program ahead of the national residency cycle. The program allows residency programs the opportunity to give feedback to fourth year students about their likelihood to match, giving them deeper commitment to our programs.

## How do I apply?

Students applying to PRP will submit the following:

* PRP Application
* ERAS Application
 * Completed on ERAS and downloaded as a PDF
* Two Letters of Recommendation
 * Same or adjacent specialty recommended
* Personal Statement
 * Should be tailored for PRP specifically
* Abbreviated MSPE
 * Uploaded by Student Affairs
 * Only Identifying Information, Academic History and Clerkship Narratives
 * No premedical section or noteworthy characteristics included
* Unofficial Transcript
 * Uploaded by Student Affairs

Step 2 Score is not sent to programs, however, programs can ask you your score and you can tell them.

## Can I apply to all programs participating in PRP?

Students can only apply to one specialty. The exception to this is that they can apply to two specialties if one is advanced and one is preliminary.

## If I get accepted through PRP can I still apply to other programs?

Positive feedback does guarantee that the Sinai program will rank you to Match, however, getting positive feedback through PRP is not binding for the student so students can still apply to other programs.

## If accepted, is there anything else I need to do?

Students must still complete an ERAS application and apply to the PRP program, register for the NRMP Match and submit a Rank Order List (ROL). If students do not submit their ROL they will not match.
