# Work Schedule/Duty Hours

## <mark style="color:blue;">General Clinical Schedule at MSH (SAMPLE)</mark>

On the General Surgery core rotation, students are expected to pre-round – generally at 5:00/6:00am depending on the site and then will round with their team. They will be expected to go to the operating room, outpatient practice, team conferences and afternoon rounds. The day generally ends around 7-8 pm but is variable depending on site and team assignments. &#x20;

On the Anesthesiology core rotation students are expected to arrive at 7:00/7:15 am and their day will generally end around 4pm. On the subspecialty rotation, the schedule will vary by subspecialty.&#x20;

Students will have one scheduled didactic day, typically on a Monday afternoon. Each clerkship rotation is assigned a specific date: 3/16, 5/4, 6/22, 8/17, 10/5, 11/23, and 1/25.

## <mark style="color:blue;">Call Schedule</mark>

There will be no weekends or call shifts required during this clerkship.

## <mark style="color:blue;">Orientation Day Reporting</mark>

Orientation will take place during in 2-half days during CAMP. Students will participate in an **in-person skills session** on Wednesdays, followed by **virtual orientation** on Fridays. Precise instructions will be shared at least one week in advance.
