Pre-clerkship Assessment Policies
Pre-Clerkship Assessment Rescheduling
In the event of an unplanned absence, a planned absence due to major religious holiday observance, or a technical issue, be sure to refer to Taking an Assessment in ASCEND within the ISMMS Medical Student Handbook for guidance on how to request to reschedule a quiz or exam.
Criteria for Passing the Module
Students must complete each of the four components (Lab exam, OSCE, Simulation, CBSE) to pass the module.
Any student who performs consistently two standard deviations below the mean on the OSCE, simulation, or lab session will receive the option of tailored support from their clinical competency mentor or the module director.
Student Affairs will reach out to any student who scores below 55% on the CBSE to offer support.
Students must complete each section of a PEAKS week in order to pass the module. If a segment is unable to be completed due to illness or another unexpected emergency, a tailored make up plan will be made by the Module Director. More details on the policy and procedures can be reviewed in the ISMMS Medical Student Handbook.
Make up exams for the OSCE, lab, and simulation will be scheduled for December 18th, 2025 or December 30th, 2025
Make up exams for the CBSE on December 22, 2025, or December 29, 2025
